(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A 53-year-old woman was arrested early Wednesday morning following a domestic dispute on the city’s west side that led to criminal contempt charges.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the third platoon responded to a domestic dispute at approximately 2:45 a.m. on July 30, 2025. During their investigation, it was determined that Sheri M. Hawkins had violated an active order of protection.
Hawkins was arrested at the scene without incident and charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a Class A misdemeanor under New York State law.
She is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
