Deputies apprehended the suspect following a reported burglary in-progress; she was released pending a future court appearance.

(WNY News Now) – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Aaliyah B. Small, 22, of Otto, NY, on charges of Burglary in the Third Degree and Attempted Petit Larceny following a burglary in-progress report on the evening of July 27, 2025.

At approximately 8:09 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a burglary in the Village of Little Valley. Shortly after the incident, Small was located and taken into custody during a traffic stop in the Town of Mansfield.

She was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being arraigned in Little Valley Town Court. Small was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear again in court later in August. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
