Police say three children were found living in deplorable conditions during a domestic dispute investigation.
(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A domestic incident investigation early Tuesday morning led to the arrest of two Jamestown residents, Ethan A. Crichton, 32, and Christine L. Weise, 36, on multiple counts of child endangerment after officers discovered three children living in what authorities described as deplorable conditions.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd platoon responded to a reported domestic dispute at 522 W. 6th Street around 12:52 a.m. on August 5, 2025. Upon arrival and further investigation, police determined that Crichton and Weise had been allowing children aged 14, 13, and 10 to reside in unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
Police described the interior of the home as heavily cluttered, with visible mold inside the kitchen and refrigerator, and a significant amount of human and animal feces present in every room—including smeared on walls.
Crichton and Weise were both taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. They are each facing three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and were held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The children were immediately removed from the residence and Child Protective Services were notified of the situation.
