(WNY News Now) – On August 11, 2025, Hanover deputies responded to a trespass complaint involving a South Dayton resident.

At approximately 6:06 p.m., deputies arrived at a Hanover residence following reports that 58-year-old Jeffery A. Cook unlawfully entered the property and began changing the door locks without permission. After an investigation, Cook was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

Cook was subsequently released and is scheduled to appear in Town of Hanover Court to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
