(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown woman was arrested following a domestic dispute on the city’s south side earlier this month.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the Second Platoon responded to a residence around 7:24 p.m. on August 13, 2025, after receiving a report of a domestic incident.

The investigation determined that Alexandra M. Peterson, 37, of Jamestown, allegedly removed a Ring-style doorbell camera from the residence, causing damage to the device. Police further allege that Peterson made physical contact with a male victim in violation of an active order of protection.

Peterson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, harassment in the second degree, and criminal contempt in the second degree.

Following booking procedures, Peterson was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
