(WNY News Now) – BEMUS POINT, N.Y. – A Lakewood resident was arrested early Saturday morning following a traffic stop in the Village of Bemus Point.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a vehicle on Center Street around 12:52 a.m. on August 16, 2025. The driver was identified as Jaron C. Pollino, 32, of Lakewood.

During the stop, deputies determined that Pollino was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Aggravated DWI, and Speed in Zone.

Pollino was later released and is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
