(WNY News Now) – DUNKIRK, N.Y. – A narcotics investigation in Dunkirk led to two arrests after police executed a search warrant at a Columbus Street residence on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
Authorities from the Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and Jamestown Police Department executed the warrant at 431 Columbus Street, Upper Apartment, with assistance from the Dunkirk Police Special Response Team. This marks the second search warrant at the same location in the past four months.
During the search, investigators seized approximately 2 grams of cocaine, 12.15 grams of crack cocaine, 1.5 grams of fentanyl, an undisclosed number of pills, drug paraphernalia including scales and packaging materials, and $1,980 in cash.
Two Dunkirk residents were taken into custody:
- Larry E. Brooks Jr., 37, charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 1st
- Norman I. Geddis Sr., 55, charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd
Both individuals were transported to the Dunkirk Police Department and arraigned in Dunkirk City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
