(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown woman is facing charges after police responded to a reported domestic dispute on the city’s southside Tuesday night.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the third platoon were called to a residence on September 23, 2025, at approximately 11:31 p.m. for a domestic incident. Upon investigation, officers determined that 49-year-old Georgeanna Ribbing had allegedly violated a court-mandated order of protection by making physical contact with the protected party.

Ribbing was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She was charged with Harassment in the Second Degree and Criminal Contempt in the First Degree.

Police confirmed that Ribbing was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
