The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Buffalo man following an investigation into a reported past sex offense in Westfield.

(WNY News Now) – WESTFIELD, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has arrested David D. Walden, 40, of Buffalo, on a charge of sexual abuse in the first degree.

Deputies report that on March 13, 2025, an investigation was launched into an allegation involving sexual contact with a juvenile victim. Following the investigation, a warrant was issued for Walden’s arrest.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, where he was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Program. Walden is scheduled to appear in Westfield Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
