(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown woman is facing charges after police responded to a reported domestic dispute on the city’s west side Friday afternoon.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 2nd Platoon responded to the incident around 4:47 p.m. on September 26. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim and determined that 33-year-old Chelsea T. Coulter allegedly brandished a knife and damaged the victim’s clothing during the dispute.

Coulter was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She has been charged with Menacing in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.

Police said Coulter is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
