Deputies Respond to Route 60 Residence Following Report of Underage Gathering

(WNY News Now) – POMFRET, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office charged a Pomfret man after responding to a report of an underage drinking party early Sunday morning.

Deputies said they were called to a residence on Route 60 in the Town of Pomfret at about 12:03 a.m. on September 28, 2025. Following an investigation, officers determined that the homeowner, Justin M. Palmer, 38, had allegedly provided a location for underage individuals to consume alcohol.

Palmer was issued an appearance ticket on the charge of Unlawful Dealing with a Child in the First Degree, a violation of New York’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Law. He is scheduled to appear in Pomfret Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
