(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown woman was charged with criminal tampering after allegedly defecating, urinating, and spitting at officers while in custody following a fight at a local 7/11.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – On October 5, 2025, at approximately 10:29 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to a reported fight involving several individuals at the 7-Eleven on North Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers arrested two women connected to the incident, including 35-year-old Leonela E. Rodriguez of Jamestown. Rodriguez was transported to the Jamestown City Jail for processing.

According to police, Rodriguez appeared highly intoxicated after reportedly consuming alcohol earlier in the evening at a local establishment. While in custody, she allegedly became combative and disorderly.
At about 11:24 p.m., officers say Rodriguez defecated and urinated on the floor of her jail cell, then attempted to kick the waste toward officers and spit at them.
Rodriguez was subsequently charged with Criminal Tampering in the Third Degree and is awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
