(WNY News Now) – New York Attorney General Letitia James issued a statement on Monday after a federal judge granted her motion to dismiss an indictment brought by the U.S. Department of Justice.

NEW YORK – Attorney General Letitia James responded publicly after U.S. District Judge Cameron Currie granted her motion to dismiss a DOJ indictment, ending the federal action filed against her.

In her statement, James said she was encouraged by the court’s decision and appreciative of the widespread support she has received throughout the process.

“I am heartened by today’s victory and grateful for the prayers and support I have received from around the country,” she said.

James added that she remains committed to continuing her work on behalf of New Yorkers. “I remain fearless in the face of these baseless charges as I continue fighting for New Yorkers every single day.”
