(WNY News Now) – DUNKIRK, N.Y. — A multi-agency narcotics investigation concluded early Tuesday morning with the execution of a search warrant at a lower apartment on Townsend Street, resulting in the seizure of cocaine and the arrest of a Dunkirk man.
According to the Dunkirk Police Department, narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at approximately 6:25 a.m. on December 23 at 219 Townsend St., lower apartment. The operation involved investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and the Jamestown Police Department, with Dunkirk Police Special Response Team (SRT) officers making entry into the residence.
Hector W. Quinones, 63, of Dunkirk, was inside the apartment at the time of the search, authorities said. During the search, investigators reportedly seized approximately 22.5 grams of cocaine, along with digital scales and packaging materials allegedly used in the sale and distribution of narcotics.

As a result of the investigation, Quinones was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and one count of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Dunkirk Police Department and later arraigned in the City of Dunkirk Court.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
