(WNY News Now) – A 51-year-old Jamestown man has died following a pedestrian-motor vehicle crash Saturday evening on Falconer Street near Bowen Street, according to Jamestown police.

Jamestown Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on January 10, 2026, at approximately 6:08 p.m. The incident occurred on Falconer Street near Bowen Street.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, identified as Kendel R. Bell, 51, of Jamestown, lying unresponsive in the roadway. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures until Jamestown Fire Department personnel and Alstar EMS arrived on scene.

Bell was transported to UPMC Chautauqua at WCA for emergency treatment and later transferred to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania, due to the severity of his injuries.

Police said Bell succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on January 11, 2026, at approximately 8:15 a.m.

The operator of the vehicle involved remained at the scene, contacted 911, and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash and are actively searching for video footage that may assist in the investigation. Authorities are asking residents and businesses in the area of Lillian Dickson Park who may have surveillance or doorbell camera footage from the time of the incident to contact the Jamestown Police Department at (716) 483-7536.
