Town of Ellicott Police allege 57-year-old violated stay-away order of protection.
(WNY News Now) – ELLICOTT, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree after Town of Ellicott Police responded to a reported domestic incident Tuesday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Town of Ellicott Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 4:00 p.m. on February 3, 2026, for a domestic-related complaint.
Police allege that Scott A. Dickerson, 57, of Jamestown, had contact with an individual who has a complete stay-away order of protection against him. Authorities state that the alleged contact violated the terms of the court-issued order.
Dickerson was taken into custody without incident and transported for processing. He was later released with an appearance ticket.
He is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the charge of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. The charge is an allegation, and Dickerson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
