(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A routine traffic stop in Jamestown led to the arrest of two Buffalo residents for possession of a controlled substance, police report.

On the evening of April 3, at approximately 7:27 p.m., Jamestown Police Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Water Street and King Street for observed traffic violations. The vehicle’s occupants were identified as Jeffrey M. Kolb and Jemal Turner, both residents of Buffalo.

During the investigation, officers discovered that both individuals were in possession of fentanyl. Jeffrey Kolb was also found to have an outstanding warrant from the West Seneca Police Department. Both were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Kolb was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree along with his outstanding warrant. Turner was charged with the same drug possession offense and received traffic citations for the infractions that prompted the stop.

Both men were processed at the Jamestown City Jail and released with Appearance Tickets to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
