(WNY News Now) – A Stockton man was taken into custody Friday evening following an investigation into a reported disorderly person complaint that led to multiple criminal charges, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 10, 2026, at approximately 6:24 p.m., deputies with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the Town of Stockton for a report of a disorderly person.

Following an investigation at the scene, deputies determined that Justin Horton, 41, of Stockton, was allegedly involved in conduct that resulted in multiple criminal charges. Authorities reported that Horton was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

According to law enforcement, the charges stemmed from the investigation into the disturbance reported in the area. Further details regarding the circumstances of the incident were not released.

Horton was arrested at the scene and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail. He is being held pending Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) proceedings in Chautauqua County Court.

All charges are allegations, and Horton is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
