(WNY News Now) – A 29-year-old Jamestown resident was taken into custody Saturday afternoon following a domestic dispute investigation on the city’s west side.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded to a reported past-tense domestic dispute at a west side residence on May 2, 2026, at approximately 4:56 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Corey R. Grzesiak, 29, obstructed the normal breathing of his 11-year-old son by placing his hands around the child’s neck. Authorities said the incident occurred in the presence of a 5-year-old child.

Grzesiak was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

He has been charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and one count of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing.

Grzesiak is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
