(WNY News Now) – A Chautauqua County Grand Jury indictment has been unsealed charging a 27-year-old Jamestown man in connection with the death of another Jamestown resident following a May stabbing incident.

A secret indictment issued by the Chautauqua County Grand Jury was unsealed Monday in Chautauqua County Court, charging Robert B.D. Brinkley, 27, of Jamestown, with the death of Torry Kenny.

According to authorities, Kenny was stabbed through the eye on May 3, 2026, in the area of East 8th Street and Lakeview Avenue in Jamestown. Kenny later died from injuries sustained in the incident.

Brinkley has been charged with Murder in the Second Degree, Manslaughter in the First Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.

Chautauqua County Court Judge David Foley set bail at $1 million cash or a $2 million property bond. Brinkley remains held on bail and is scheduled to return to court for further proceedings on August 17.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
