(WNY News Now) – A 33-year-old Allegany woman was issued an appearance ticket after the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office investigated two reported shoplifting incidents at Walmart.

ALLEGANY, N.Y. — Veronica J. Quijano, 33, of Allegany, was arrested Sept. 14 in connection with a reported larceny at Walmart in the Town of Allegany, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies took Quijano into custody at approximately 4:19 p.m. following an investigation into incidents reported to have occurred Sept. 11.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Quijano allegedly entered the store twice that day and passed all points of sale with merchandise that had not been paid for.

Quijano was transported to the Sheriff’s Office Olean Substation, where she was processed and charged with two counts of petit larceny.

She was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Allegany Town Court at a later date.

The charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
