(WNY News Now) – A 22-year-old Jamestown woman was charged after Ellicott police investigated a complaint involving the alleged unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Town of Ellicott police charged Constance A. Mitchell, 22, of Jamestown, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree on September 22, 2026.

Police said officers responded to a complaint at approximately 10:54 a.m. regarding the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

According to police, Mitchell allegedly operated the victim’s vehicle without permission.

Mitchell was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charge.

A charge is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
