(WNY News Now) – A 36-year-old Great Valley man was taken into custody in Olean on October 27 after authorities reported he had an active bench warrant issued by Salamanca City Court.

OLEAN, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported that Cody P. Wyatt, 36, of Great Valley, was arrested at approximately 5:01 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, in the 200 block of North 13th Street in Olean.

According to the sheriff’s office arrest blotter, Wyatt was observed walking in the area when he was taken into custody on an active bench warrant from Salamanca City Court.

Following his arrest, Wyatt was transported and turned over to the Salamanca Police Department for arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
