WARREN – A preliminary hearing for Jackson Kent Knappenberger, 25, of Warren, has been postponed until next Tuesday, according to court documents obtained by WNYNewsNow.

Knappenberger is charged with several charges, including seven counts of attempted homicide and one count of arson.

Pennsylvania State Police report that Knappenberger confessed to lighting a plastic bag containing gas and oil on fire near a Wilson Road residence (Sugar Grove) in December with two other adults and five children inside.

The case is still in the PA Magistrate Court System, rather than the Court of Common Pleas.

A check of the PA Court of Common Pleas records indicate that a separate criminal case remains active against Knappenberger. Knappenberger was charged last June with corruption of minors, corruption of minors (defendant age 18 or above), indecent assault of a person less than 13 and harassment (subject other to physical contact).

Documents have indicated that bail was revoked against Knappenberger in that case.
