JAMESTOWN – Lincoln Elementary School’s annual Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive raised 200 jars this year for the Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club – twice as much as last year!

The PTA-sponsored drive is a great way for the entire school to get involved helping out their community.

“It is an affordable and simple way for kids to give back. We put the bin in the front hall and it’s an easy way for students to understand the wonderful feeling of giving back,” said Lincoln PTA President Jessica Jacques. “We chose the Boys & Girls Club because a lot of our kids go there and it’s a great organization.”

The 13-day drive in December is a wonderful tradition for the Boys & Girls Club.

“It is such a neat thing when you have students helping other people their own age” said Jeff Kroon, Boys & Girls Club Executive Director. “We provide snacks every day for the kids at the Club and we go through so much peanut butter and jelly because they love it so much. We really appreciate the donation and the effort by Lincoln kids to help out other kids.”\
