DUNKIRK – A City of Dunkirk man is facing charges after the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said he left the scene of a single vehicle crash on Feb. 12.

Kevin M. Obrien, 59, is charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device, unlicensed operator, speed not reasonable and prudent, moved from lane unsafely and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Sheriff deputies said Obrien was driving on Route 5 in the Town of Dunkirk on Feb. 12, when he was involved in a single motor vehicle accident that caused damage to private property.

Deputies said Obrien was released with appearance tickets and will answer to the charges in the Town of Dunkirk Court at a later date.
