SHARPSBURG, Ga. – A former City of Jamestown Mayor passed away last week at his home in Georgia.
According to an obituary posted on Lind Funeral Home’s website, Don Ahlstrom, 90, passed away on April 18, 2019.
Ahlstrom served two years as Mayor for the City of Jamestown from 1990 to 1991.
He also was a Chautauqua County legislator for two years in 1994 to 1995.
Ahlstrom was also very active in the Republican Party, serving three terms as City Republican Committee Chairman and one term as the County Chairman.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at Lind Funeral Home.
