WESTERN NEW YORK – A state-wide campaign to crack down on unbuckled drivers kicked off Monday across New York State.

New York State Police’s “Click It or ticket” Campaign aims to make sure all drivers use their seat belts and all children are properly strapped-in.

For the next two weeks Sheriff’s Deputies along with local and state police will be cracking down on all drivers who violate seat-belt laws.

This includes more traffic checkpoints, and more police patrols.

Officials strongly encourage everyone in the back seat to wear their seat belt, regardless of their age.
