JAMESTOWN – New York’s Lieutenant Governor says officials still do not know what phase of reopening hair salons and barbershops will fit into.
Speaking during a press conference on Thursday, Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul said hair salons and barbershops still not been placed in any of the four reopening phases.
“It is impossible to get your hair done six feet apart from someone, so we are concerned about the risk of transmission and exposure,” explained Hochul. “This is something that we are working on as we speak to determine if it fits into a phase two or phase three activity.”
The lieutenant governor reminded everyone that it’s important to sanitize your hands and wear face masks to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
