SHEFFIELD (Pa.) – Officials from the Sheffield Board of Health have closed the Covered Bridge Park due to a rabid animal attack on Sunday.

The Warren County park is closed to all users, including strollers, hikers, pedestrians, dog walkers, bikers and kayakers/boaters, and all other members of the public, according to officials.

Officials say the order will be in affect until rescinded at the guidance of the Sheffield Animal Control Officer.
