JAMESTOWN – Students at Jamestown Public Schools gathered over the weekend to their show support to keep the Jamestown Success Academy open.

The district’s 2020 – 21 budget includes major cuts, that would shutter the school.

The group is now formulating a plan to find outside funding to keep the doors open. Students there say the school has acted as a haven from bullies in the district.

Tonight at 6 p.m. the Jamestown School Board of Education is holding a public hearing on the budget where students plan to attend virtually to express their frustrations.

The hearing will be streamed LIVE at jpsny.org/budgethearing.
