JAMESTOWN – Congressman Tom Reed joined several local Republican politicians to cut the ribbon on the party’s downtown Jamestown campaign office on Wednesday evening.
Reed was joined by New York State Senator George Borrello, Assemblyman Andy Goodell, Chautauqua County Executive P.J. Wendel, County Legislator Lisa Vanstrom and Jamestown City Councilman Brent Sheldon, among others.
The Congressman is running for re-election against Democrat Tracy Mitrano for New York’s 23rd Congressional District’s House of Representatives seat.
Reed was first elected in 2010 and boasts his accessibly by conducting over 250 town halls across all 11 counties in a district the size of New Jersey.
He is a member of the Ways and Means Committee and Co-chair of the Problems Solvers Caucus.
The new headquarters, at 301 E. 2nd St., will serve as the campaign offices for GOP candidates in the county.
According to the House calendar, the House was in session yesterday the 9th. Why was Reed attending a political photo-op in Jamestown? The person third from the left in the photo looks like Reed’s Congressional District Manager Alison Hunt? I wonder if it is allowable for congressional staffers to participate in political events while being paid by the taxpayers? Maybe the news staff of Western New York News Now should do their due diligence and ask Reed those questions.
There are many questions to be asked:
Why won’t Joe Hiden take any questions?
Where’s Hunter, how did he make so much money from Chinese companies with no experience….
Why won’t Cuomo release the documents from his Nursing Home Executive order until the day after the election….. (I’m sure he just came up with that date of November 4, no ill intention)
How are all the infected people recovering, what treatments are they receiving….
