West Virginia Man Charged After Allegedly Driving Drunk In Lakewood This Week

LAKEWOOD – A West Virginia man is facing several charges after police say he was driving while intoxicated on Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood this week.

Lakewood-Busti Police report 33-year-old Jonathan Toriz-Escalante was observed by officers driving at a high rate of speed and crossing marked lines of the roadway just before midnight on Tuesday.

Toriz-Escalante was pulled over and through investigation officers alleged he was driving drunk.











The man is charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely, operating a motor vehicle without interlock device and speed in zone.

Police say Toriz-Escalante was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and later released with an appearance ticket.
