ELLICOTT – A longtime local manufacture will be expanding their facility after getting a loan from Chautauqua County.

The County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency approved a $382,000 loan for Premier Precision Machining, Rand Machine’s parent company on Allen Street in Ellicott, during its meeting this week.

The company plans to use the money to expand and improve their facility by constructing a 7,000 sq. ft. building, which will bridge the main manufacturing facility and a 5,000 sq. ft. outbuilding on their property.

Rand has been in operation for over 70 years and since expansions started in 2017, 45 to 126 full time workers were hired part of the expansion.

They offer computer numerical control machining, computer aided design, mechanical design and engineering, automated systems design, failure analysis for both tool and die, as well as manufacturing process engineering and development services.
