WEST ELLICOTT – A popular pizzeria that is expanding its operations to West Ellicott will open their new location on Monday afternoon.

Honest John’s Restaurant and Pizzeria owner John Raymond says the new location on Fairmount Avenue will open for business at 4 p.m.

In a post on social media, he says he is opening today in honor of his late sister Judith whose birthday would have been on this date. She created the Pizzeria’s logo in 1982.

Hours at the new location will be limited in the first days of operation as the restaurant hires new employees.

Honest John’s is hosting open interviews for both the new location and East Second Street eatery on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with those interested directed to check in at the counter then wait in their car.

Raymond began expansion to West Ellicott last month amid a strong demand for takeout and delivery services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He says in total around 15 to 18 new positions will be created at the new location.
