105 New COVID-19 Cases, An Additional Death, Reported In Chautauqua County

MAVYILLE – A new COVID-19 death and 105 additional cases of the virus were reported in Chautauqua County on Thursday.

According to data on the county Health Department’s COVID-19 Dashboard, the latest death involved a 60-year-old. This is the 47th death linked to the virus since the pandemic began.






There are now 721 active cases countywide, up from 695 the day before.

Of the new cases, 33 are in the greater Jamestown area with 208 active.





The seven-day average percent positivity rate is 11.7 percent and 42 people remain hospitalized.

To date, there have been 5,302 infections in the county, with 4,534 people recovering.











On the vaccine effort, 3,622 people have received the first dose, with 340 getting the second.
