Steele Street In Jamestown Closed Today Due To BPU Repair Work

JAMESTOWN – A portion of Steele Street near the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities will be closed today as crews work to repair a water main break.

The roadway is closed in both directions between Sprague and Barrett Streets.

The BPU says a water main break at the top of driveway ‘D’ near the Jamestown Power Plant occurred Sunday night. Was in the area has since been restored, however, further repairs are needed.











Those visiting the BPU Customer Service Office are asked to enter the driveway closest to Brooklyn Square, then reach the office by driving through the garages parking lot.

No discolored water is expected as a result of the repair work today.
