CHAROLOTTE – The man killed in Friday afternoon’s motorcycle crash in the Town of Charlotte has been identified.

The Chautaqua County Sheriff’s Office says just before 2 p.m. deputies were called to a report of an accident with an injury on Rood Road.

At the scene deputies found 45-year-old Edward McAlister, of Sinclairville, with serious injuries.

Paramedics rendered aid but due to the extent of the injuries, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Upon further investigation, police say McAlister was traveling south on the road and left the road on the west side causing the motorcycle to crash.

No charges are expected to be filed as a result of the crash.
