SILVER CREEK – A Silver Creek man has been charged in connection with a northern Chautauqua County rape.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says the agency’s Criminal Investigation Division has been investigating a series of incidents that occurred between May and July.
Following the investigation, 32-year-old Cornelius Brown was charged with third-degree rape.
On Friday, deputies say Brown turned himself in on the charge and was later arraigned in centralized arraignment court.
Brown was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail.
No further details of the alleged incidents have been released.
