Pennsylvania Woman Accused Of Leaving Dogs In Cage Without Food, Water

SHERMAN – A 35-year-old North East Pennsylvania woman is accused of leaving two dogs in a cage without proper food and water.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies responded to an animal complaint on Park Street in the Town of Sherman around 6 p.m. last Thursday.

Following an investigation, it is alleged that Cassandra Casler placed the dogs in a cage without proper sustenance.

She was issued an appearance ticket for overdriving, torturing or injuring animals on Wednesday.

The animals were seized and brought to the humane society for proper care, deputies say.

Casler will appear in the Town of Sherman Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
