ALBNAY (WENY) – SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras is under fire over his ties to the Cuomo Administration.

According to WRGB, some lawmakers are calling for more information on his activities when he worked with the former Governor, including a possible role in the nursing home COVID-19 death scandal.

It has been reported that Malatras was also questioned by attorneys for the Assembly Judiciary Committee over an ongoing investigation relating to Cuomo’s multi-million dollar pandemic book deal.

It’s even been suggested that Malatras told Committee attorneys that he helped edit and fact-check the manuscript last summer before being named SUNY Chancellor.

Governor Hochul has not yet commented if she plans to look into the questions surrounding Malatras.
