MAYVILLE – A big jump in new Coronavirus infections were reported in Chautauqua County on Wednesday.

The County Health Department announced 115 new cases of the virus, with two new deaths.


There are now 405 active cases with 36 people in the hospital and 933 residents quarantined.

According to the CDC, the county remains listed under a high level of community transmission of the virus with a seven-day average positivity rate at 9.7 percent.

As for vaccinations, 68,000 county residents have received at least one dose of the shot with nearly 62,000 people fully vaccinated, according to the New York State Health Department.











To date, there have been 10,921 with 10,347 people recovering and 169.
