JAMESTOWN – Several ceremonies to honor those serving in the armed forces took place Thursday in Jamestown in celebration of Veterans Day.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 53, those with the local American Legion and Vietnam Veterans of America chapter held a ceremony downtown at the corner of Third and Main Streets.











A 21-gun salute and music from the Jamestown High School Marching Band was featured along with a service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church just a block away.

Later in the day the groups hosted another ceremony at soldier’s circle in Lake View Cemetery.
