JAMESTOWN – Funeral services for a 15-year-old Jamestown teen will be held this Saturday, following a devastating accident that claimed her life.

Alexis Hughan, was crossing West 6th Street near Washington Street on December 31st when she was hit and killed by an 18-wheel car carrier.

The driver of the truck, identified as 58-year-old Randall Rolison, is accused of driving while impaired and fleeing the scene.

An “emo-hippie” memorial service will be held for the sophomore on Saturday, January 8th, at First Covenant Church. Friends will be received starting at 11 a.m., and the service will be held at 1 p.m. Friends will then gather to celebrate Haghan at The Spire Theater’s Odyssey Hall following the service.

Hughan’s family says the teen had a vibrant soul who expressed herself through color, and creative clothing and hair styles.

She also had a love for animals caring for with seven cats and a bunny. The teen aspired to be a kindergarten teacher one day.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Infinity Visual and Performing Arts or Evergreen Health in Jamestown.

Since the accident, a GoFundMe has raised over $35,000 to cover final arrangements.
