WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House of Representatives passed a $13.6 billion dollar emergency aid bill for Ukraine Wednesday night.

The money for Ukraine is set aside for defense, economic assistance and humanitarian aid.

There’s also $4 billion dollars to help refugees as well as provisions to enforce sanctions against Russia.

In addition to demonstrating support for Ukraine, the House passed a stopgap bill to extend government funding through Tuesday.

Now, the legislation will move to the U.S. Senate where the race continues to meet the Friday midnight deadline to keep the government running.
