Youth Track And Field Development Program Underway

JAMESTOWN – Enrollment is open for the Chautauqua Striders’ Youth Track and Field Development program happening this summer.

The community is invited to join the program, which starts on June 13th, taking place on Mondays and Wednesdays until July 13th.

Beginning at 6 p.m., the two hour event will be held at Strider Field at 195 Martin Road in Jamestown.


The program is focused on encouraging and promoting sport participation and competition for children ages 5 through 14. Allowing participants to choose from a variety of activities, ranging from sprinting, hurdle jumping, vaulting, shot put, among others.

As Chautauqua Striders Athletic Coordinator Lexi Lindamer says, the program has been successful for many years.

“This program has been enjoyed by youth across the area for several years,” said Lindamer. “We are excited to offer these activities once again for 2022 and are thrilled to invite young athletes to experience the exhilaration and enjoyment of the Youth Track and Field Development Program.”



Enrollment for the program will last until June 30th, with late registration available at any practice or competition. 

The cost for an individual is $75 while the cost for multiple athletes will be $60 each.
