MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County’s unemployment rate has reached record low levels.
The New York State Department of Labor announced Wednesday the unemployment rate decrease to 3.4 percent, the lowest rate locally in 32 years.
The figure is down from 3.7 percent the month before. It remains lower than the state average of 4.4 percent.
In total, officials said there is about 1,800 unemployed individuals in the county.
