MAYVILLE, NY (WNY News Now) – A 46-year-old Jamestown man incarcerated at Chautauqua County’s Jail is accused of damaging the facility’s property. This is not the first time he has faced additional charges while in Sheriff custody.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says that Winfred Clark, while being escorted within the jail following an appointment, grabbed a television mounted on a wall and threw it to the floor.

The TV set, deputies said, was damaged beyond repair. Clark is charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief as a result of the alleged act.

This is the second-time in the last month that Clark has faced additional charges while in custody.

Last month, deputies said he covered himself in bodily fluids causing a disturbance. Additionally, Clark alleged came in contact with several Jail employees while covered in his own fluids.

He was first arrested in connection with a Jamestown burglary in July.
