Dunkirk Man Sentenced In Connection With A Residential Burglary

DUNKIRK, NY (WNY News Now) – A 39-year-old Dunkirk man will serve up to seven years in state prison after he was sentenced in connection with a residential burglary on Monday.

In November 2021, Thomas Fafinski was accused of breaking-into an apartment in the City of Dunkirk and stealing properly worth over $3,000 dollars.

Following prosecution by Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt, the suspect was sentenced to an indeterminate term in state prison on a felony burglary charge.

Fafinski is required to serve a minimum of three-and-a-half years to a maximum of seven years behind bars. The conviction, Schmidt says, is the result of a plea by the defendant.
