JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – Parents of students at Jamestown Public Schools are protesting continued bullying within the district and are slated to express concerns directly to educators on Tuesday.
Earlier this month, a local mother spoke out to WNY News Now about a public humiliation stunt in an act of violence and bullying at Jamestown High School.
The mom, who highlighted concerns about her son, who was being targeted by a local gang known as the “Young and Deadly,” claims her son has been terrorized for months and school leaders have done nothing to help.
While the school’s administration is limited in what they can say publicly about the issue, Superintendent Dr. Kevin Whitaker previously said that the district is taking the claims seriously and are looking into the incident.
Ahead of Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting a group of parents plan to protest continued bullying across the district starting at 5:15 p.m. outside of Jefferson Middle School.
